Karthik Rao joined Silverman Consulting in 2008 with financial experience across various industries including manufacturing, food, health care, retail, information services, building products, oil and gas, professional services, and software. Mr. Rao assembles and analyzes cash flow projections, product and customer profitability analyses, assists management with cash management, and assists clients in implementing cost reduction initiatives. He has also been involved in engagements that required forensic accounting and gathered evidence against those who perpetrated fraud.

Prior to joining Silverman, Mr. Rao worked at Ernst & Young, LLP where he served clients as a consultant for Ernst & Young’s Fraud Investigations and Dispute Services practice. As a consultant, he counseled clients on proper recording of financial transactions, in particular those associated with revenue recognition and purchase price disputes.

Mr. Rao holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from Purdue University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has completed the first two levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst exam.
