Rick Harpster | Managing Director

Rick Harpster joined Silverman Consulting in 2023 and brings over 20 years of strategic advisory experience, particularly in building enterprise value, optimizing cash flow, and accelerating growth. He has experience working as both a principal and advisor to help middle market companies maximize value for stakeholders.

At Silverman, Rick assists clients in effectively evaluating, planning and executing value creation strategies, specifically through profit improvement, financial planning and analysis, and liquidity enhancement. Prior to his consulting career, Rick worked for 14 years at a lower middle market private equity firm where he led the full range of deal experience: sourcing a transaction, completing due diligence, financing a transaction, managing and building value in a portfolio company, and ultimately exiting an investment. Prior to his private equity career, Rick worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions group within Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking practice where he focused on valuation while advising clients on M&A and capital raising alternatives.

Mr. Harpster holds a CPA and received a Master of Accounting as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting & Finance from the University of Michigan. In his spare time, Rick enjoys Wolverine football and spending time with his wife Becca and two children.
