Scott E. Kohler | Partner

Scott Kohler joined Silverman Consulting in 2001 after 20 years in financial management, public accounting, and financial services. His experience has been focused in the areas of senior financial management, business development, profit improvement, asset utilization, restructuring, business analysis, operations, and insolvency.

Since joining the firm, Mr. Kohler has been involved with a diverse client base including plastic injection manufacturer, PVC extrusion operation, manufacturers, distributors, contractors/developers, senior care provider, cold storage company, bottling operations, lumber converter/flooring manufacturer, industrial and electrical parts distributor, foundry operations, machine shops, food processors, automotive suppliers/dealers, international movers, printers, rebuilder/distributor of office equipment parts/supplies, retail grocery chain, suppliers of outdoor clothing/equipment, large farming operations, grain storage facilities, trucking companies, not for profits, and children’s media producer. Mr. Kohler’s clients have ranged in size from $2 million to $400 million in revenue.

Mr. Kohler has assisted his clients in profit enhancement analysis and implementation, liquidity management, operational improvement, cost and organizational restructuring, strategy development and deployment, project management, refinancing, and bankruptcy/receivership management. In addition he has been the lead and participated in the solicitation, negotiation, and closing the sale of many operating businesses.

Before joining Silverman Consulting, Mr. Kohler was the CFO of a $150 million national distributor of home entertainment software, serving mass merchants and wholesalers. Prior to that time he held both financial and operational roles as a member of the senior management team for a $325 million publicly traded business forms manufacturing and distribution organization.

Mr. Kohler, a CPA, received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Illinois University. He has also received financial and operational training from AT&T Bell Laboratories, Rochester Institute of Technology, American Management Association, and the Securities Industry.
