Service Project

September 10th | 2:30PM to 4:30PM

Medical Center at 3516 W. 26th St.

We’re so excited to have you join us for a day of giving back at PAWS! Our visit will begin with a short orientation to get you familiar with the shelter and the day's activities. Then, we’ll jump right into our service project! You could be helping with cleaning, organizing donations, doing laundry, dishes, or other essential tasks — it all depends on what’s needed that day. Afterward, you’ll have the chance to connect with some furry friends during our animal socialization time, where you’ll get to interact with and care for the animals.

What Should You Wear?

For your safety and comfort, please follow these guidelines:

  • Wear washable clothes — things you don’t mind getting dirty.

  • Long pants are required, and we suggest a long-sleeved shirt as well for added protection.

  • Closed-toed shoes with rubber soles (sneakers are perfect!).

  • Avoid wearing perfume or cologne, as some pets have sensitivities to strong scents. Also, please leave any dangling jewelry at home for safety reasons.

Parking & Transportation:

Parking: Free and metered street parking is available, especially on the side streets — just be sure to check the signs. Please avoid parking in the bank lot directly behind the shelter.
